We strive to provide guests with a relaxing place to have a break, or to call home while working away, to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside while be a stones throw from Bournemouth Airport and Bournemouth Town Centre. We have worked to make your stay at Heronshaw House more comfortable with an extra lounge/breakfast room to relax in, along with our usual high standard of cleanliness.

ABOUT
Welcome to Heronshaw House. We offer superior accommodation and great locally sourced breakfasts. We are ideal for family celebrations, a trip away with friends or just a relaxing weekend break in the country. Our location is quiet, but surprisingly very close to all major transport routes and Bournemouth Airport. We are also conveniently located for accommodation for Parley Manor, Sopley Mill and equestrian activities.

Heronshaw House is a traditional 17th century stone-built farmhouse, with guest’s drawing room for relaxing and enjoying an open fire in the winter months, and for keeping cool in during the summer months.

Mike and Andrea took over ownership of Heronshaw House in 2016, bringing years of experience of hosting and providing holiday accommodation, and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our dining room where a full English, Dorset Cereals and fresh fruits are on the menu for just £7.50 per person. Continental Breakfast of Toast and Cereals included when booking direct through our website

Free Wifi is available throughout Heronshaw House and has been upgraded to a faster broadband to meet all your connection needs
Garden
Heronshaw House has a well maintained garden for enjoying the evening sunshine, also offering a game of croquet in the summer months.
Dog Friendly
Bring your best friend with you and enjoy the local walks.
We welcome well behaved dogs and have a dog friendly guestroom - please request when booking
Airport Shuttle and Parking
For those flying out of Bournemouth International Airport we are currently unable to offer an Airport Shuttle but can provide Airport Parking at reasonable rates to take the stress out of your onward travels
En-suite Shower Rooms

Rooms at Heronshaw House all feature large walk-in power showers and luxury eco-friendly toiletries. Rooms are designed in a country-house style without a TV to help provide a relaxing stay

Bournemouth Seaside

Bournemouth was rated in the 2021 as having the fifth best beach in Europe and the 20th best in the world. As well as panoramic coastal views, there are tropical gardens to enjoy.
You can walk, cycle and even surf miles of breathtaking coastline and enjoy panoramic views from the clifftops.
Parley Golf Centre
The 9 Hole Golf Course operates on a Membership as well as a Pay and Play basis with no tee-time reservations and provides a challenge for all levels of Golfers.

Bournemouth Airport

For stress free travel, relax at Heronshaw House before flying out on holiday from Bournemouth Airport which has minimal queues and is walking distance or a taxi can be arranged.
We can also take care of your parking requirements for £5 per night (excluding your nights stay)
Christchurch
Discover the recreational areas of the picturesque locations around Christchurch harbour and coastal nature reserves including Hengistbury head with views over the Isle of Wight just 10 minutes drive away.
Parley Manor

Parley Manor was built in the early 1700's on what was a large country estate stretching from Hurn Forest to the River Stour. From 1245 the estate belonged to the same family for over 700 years along with Heronshaw House and is now a popular wedding venue.
Being just over a mile from Parley Manor we are the perfect location for bridal parties and guests.
Snowtrax Alpine Centre

Skiing might not be the most obvious activity on your to-do list in Dorset but being just 5 minutes drive away Snowtrax is a popular haunt for those preparing for a holiday to the mountains or just for fun. You can learn to ski in a day or take to the slopes in your own style.
