Heronshaw House Art

Here at Heronshaw House we have a deep interest in local art [refer below for other info] and have local artist originals in all our public rooms - Jake Winkle in the "Snug", Jackie Malley in the Drawing Room and River Trout Dining Room as well as Kathy Lewis's "Rose".

This year we have turned one of our traditional "Stables" into a Gallery/Workshop and, it is here, that we will be holding Exhibitions and Workshops combined with Gourmet Food.

The Pete Gilbert Gourmet Art Workshop is the first event that we will hold and we plan to expand this to other artists & photographers. Not least will be our hosting of local artists at the Hampshire Open Studio in the last week of August 2012.

Combined with the much admired Gourmet Food of Heronshaw House these events should be something very special.

The workshops are open to residential guests staying in the luxury rooms at Heronshaw House and to Non residential guests vsiting each day.

The Pete Gilbert Gourmet art workshops will be centred around the beauty of The Throop Loop Walk which starts right at Heronshaw House. Passing down picturesque Pig Shoot Lane, across an ancient ford, a site to perhaps settle down with your pastels, then heading around the Stour which Pete has already researched for captivating views to paint [see below].

The Loop can be completed by following the watermeadows to another leafy path heading back to Heronshaw House where delicious food will be waiting ready for you.
